Race report by Ty Tessmann
This past weekend I attended the Big Barn Shootout in Chilliwack, BC in Canada. They built the track inside an exhibition pavilion, the layout was really cool, the temperatures were 11-15 degrees celsius and the grip level was low to medium. We had done some research and asked people who had come to this race last year so we came with our cars setup for the anticipated conditions. Practice was open on Friday and my cars were good right off the start and we only made some minor changes, I had really good pace and my cars felt awesome. I TQ'd all 3 rounds of e buggy and the first 2 rounds of nitro buggy and opted to sit out the last nitro buggy qualifier so that I could give some people a hand with their cars and calculating fuel mileage.

On Sunday there was no a main warm up for nitro and triple a mains for e buggy, we kept an eye on the track and adjusted some things for e buggy and I was able to win the first 2 a mains to take the overall win. Nitro buggy was run last, I felt really good heading into the nitro main and everything went as planned and I was able to win the 30 minute nitro main.

Thanks to all who built the track and organized the race, it was a fun race, it was great to see some faces we haven't seen in a while and to also meet lots of new people.

Thanks to my family for always supporting me, and thanks to my sponsors, Xray, RC America, Proline, O.S Engines, Hobbywing, MKS, HUDY, VP fuels, Amain, Protek Rc, Lunsford, Avid rc, 110%, Darkside design, Stickit1 and most importantly I want to thank my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, with out him I wouldn’t be where I am today.
